About Nasrin
Colors, moods, and memories form the starting point of my work. Using acrylic paint, palette knives, and modeling paste, I create layered compositions in which color, texture, and movement come together. The paintings do not offer a fixed interpretation, but leave room for personal perception.

Artistic practice
The painting process often begins with a color, a mood, or a memory. I work intuitively and usually without a fixed sketch. Some paintings emerge quickly and gesturally, while others develop over a longer period, changing with each new layer.
Acrylic paint, palette knives, and modeling paste allow me to build up surfaces, break them open again, and combine different textures. Warm colors and strong contrasts play a particular role. Memories of places, experiences, and individual moments can influence the choice of colors without becoming a predetermined story.
The process remains open. A painting can change, gain new layers, and take a different direction from what was originally intended. Its final form develops step by step.
The paintings are meant to leave room: for calm or energy, for the familiar and the new, for whatever emerges through the viewer's own perspective. There is no prescribed interpretation. What matters is what a work evokes in that particular moment.
